G - Good Companions

Average inside, super outside.

Local pub, super for summertime drinking, probably.

Price;                                                                           6/10
It is definitely on the affordable side of our average, but not so much that we thought 'wow we must go back there before a night out' sorta cheap.

Location;                                                                      5/10
An almost all uphill walk up from town isn't ideal, especially in heels (you can catch the bus up from the town center) but it is further away than you think.

Atmosphere;                                                                 5/10
Quite busy, we struggled to find a seat and had a bit of a wait at the bar. As it was busy it didn't feel particularly friendly however, but nothing horrible, or unwelcoming.

Amenities;                                                                    6/10
Lots of space, both inside and out! The garden at the back of the pub was lovely, and as it wasn't really cold we sat in a booth under a heater happily for a while. There is also a pretty decent food menu.

Toilets;                                                                          3/10
We were really hopeful about these as from the bar we thought there were plenty of space for toilets, however on closer inspection, we found that behind the door there was just ONE toilet' and in a busy pub means queues and as fun as making toilet queue friends is, its not what we want, and obviously lots of people and ONE toilet means yukkkk!

All in all it was a bit average. Nothing except the idea of daytime drinking in the summer made us really think we would come back. Not because it was horrible but because other than spacious outside there was nothing to bring us back.

Find it;  132 Dyke Road
